Access Edge produces gingival retraction without traumatizing the periodontal tissue while controlling bleeding and fluid from the gingival sulcus. Access Edge is a gingival retraction material based on rare earth clay that causes gingival retraction.

Instructions for Use:

  • Prepare the dental stump
  • Remove a single dose of Access Edge from the protective foil and insert it into a Centrix C-R® type applicator gun. Remove the cap and attach a NeedleTip applicator tip
  • Apply the retraction material with moderate pressure into the gingival sulcus or at the base of the preparation. Optionally, use a compressive pad and have the patient bite down on it
  • Allow the material to act for at least 2 minutes to control bleeding and fluid from the sulcus
  • Rinse away the retraction material and dry the preparation. It is important to remove all retraction paste, as any residue can interfere with the final impression. If retraction is not satisfactory, you can repeat the procedure
  • Take the prosthetic impression using impression materials or digital impression techniques
  • Discard the Access Edge single-dose foil and compressive pad if used. Disinfect the applicator gun for future use. The retraction material contains approximately 15% aluminum chloride along with kaolin. Do not use this material on patients with allergic reactions to aluminum chloride. Avoid contact with eyes; flush with plenty of water if this occurs

Returning products


The Buyer can request the return of purchased products from the online DENTSTORE site in the following situations:

  1. Products are inconsistent with site specifications. Returns of unsealed products are not accepted

The buyer can opt for full refund or for replacement with another product. If the replacement with a more expensive product is agreed, the Buyer will pay the price difference, or if the replacement product value will be lower, he will receive the appropriate partial refund.
